Where exactly are you located?
a. From Hammond- I-12E towards Slidell. US-190 exit, Exit 63A-B, towards Covington/Mandeville. Merge onto US-190 W via exit 63B on the left toward Covington/Bogalusa. Office is 3.1 miles down Hwy 190. Turn right onto Sunshine Ave. We are located directly behind the Chase Bank.

c. From New Orleans- Take I-10 W. Take Exit 228 towards Causeway Blvd North/ Veterans Blvd ramp toward Mandeville. Keep Left to take Causeway Blvd North. Merge onto N. Causeway Blvd. Stay straight to go onto US-190W. Turn right onto Sunshine Ave. We are located directly behind the Chase Bank.
d. From Folsom/Franklinton-Take LA-25 S continue on US-190 East for 13.0 miles. Turn left onto Sunshine Ave. We are located directly behind the Chase Bank.
Do I have any restrictions after getting an injection in the office?
a. Synvisc/Supartz- No restrictions unless have pain or swelling. If so, Rest, Ice, and activity as tolerated.
b. Cortisone injection- Avoid strenuous activity for about 3-4 days. Then increase activity as tolerated.
How to determine when to use hot and cold compresses
a. Cold- After injection, acute injuries (ex: Sprains, fractures, post falls), and swelling. Use Ice for 24-72 hours.
b. Heat- Bruising, Hematomas, Muscle pain, and chronic pain
When I call and leave a voicemail for the nurse or appointment schedulers, when should I expect a call back?
a. Voicemail is checked throughout the day. Emergency calls are returned as soon as possible. Non-emergency calls may not be returned until the end of the day. All calls received will be returned the same day if voicemail is left before 4:30 pm.
Will my Insurance cover DME (Durable Medical Equipment, crutches, walkers, etc.) needed?
What is a CPM (continuous passive motion machine)?
a. The CPM keeps your limb moving and helps with rehabilitation. It helps prevent joint stiffness and scarring. It will assist in decreasing swelling, improve wound healing and repair ligaments and tendons.
b. CPMs are used for most total knee replacements.
