ARP Therapy will occur over the course of 1 1 days. You should plan on the following:

  • Wear comfortable gym-style clothing, as your sessions will require you to move. Additionally the clinical staff will need to place the electrodes onto your body and also move the electrodes as they find areas known as “hot spots” that need to be treated.
  • You will be asked to rate the intensity of the electrical stimulation throughout the process, to help assess the location of your problem areas. The process can be intense, but it is tolerable to most patients.

As these sessions are demanding, it is important that you take measures to help your body recover. This includes:

  • Adequate rest throughout this therapy, at least 8 hours sleep each night
  • Avoiding/limiting alcohol consumption. Eating healthy meals with adequate protein. Depending on your individual case, we may recommend that you increase your protein consumption during treatment.
  • We will also ask you to complete a questionnaire about your symptoms and issues related to your clinical problem at the following times: 1) prior to the beginning of the therapy, 2) at the completion of the therapy and 3) again at certain follow-up visits to assist us in measuring the outcomes of your treatment. Dr. Darr and other clinical staff will also be assessing various clinical measures to evaluate your clinical response to treatment as well.

I was treated for a severe Achilles tear that was fixed with surgery. When I seemed to plateau in my recovery, I did the ARP and began making progress again. It has been a long road, but I am now able to run and jog again which I never thought I would do. Dr. Darr is a very caring doctor. Your health and well being are very important to him. He takes the time to get to know his patients and answers all of your questions fully. He truly cares. I would say to a friend looking for a doctor, that Dr. Darr is very knowledgeable about his field and takes the time to learn about new procedures. He has helped many members of my family and we have all had great results. Dr. Darr goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and progressing.

I received the ARP Wave procedure treatment from Dr. Darr. I now have less pain in my knees and hip and I am more conscious of evenly distribution of weight. Very helpful. I was encouraged even when I wanted to give up. Charnell DiMiceli did an excellent job. I appreciated the way I was care for –it was time well spent.Dr. Darr truly was invested in helping me find the cause of my pain. He didn’t stop until the last operation was performed and he discovered a “sac” of infection. He immediately took the steps to resolve the infection. He is my “HERO”.
